Dal 1° al 31 marzo 2018 la Fondazione Carriero lancia su Instagram il progetto digitale #FondazioneCarrieroTakeAPicture, grazie al quale tutti i visitatori della mostra “Sol LeWitt. Between the Lines” sono invitati a raccontare attraverso una fotografia il loro personale punto di vista sulle opere del padre dell’arte concettuale e gli spazi di Casa Parravicini, sede della Fondazione, utilizzando l'hashtag dedicato.

#FondazioneCarrieroTakeAPicture è un progetto digitale partecipativo pensato per celebrare Sol LeWitt a dieci anni dalla sua scomparsa attraverso lo sguardo di chi entra in contatto con la sua opera in occasione della mostra “Between the Lines”, curata da Francesco Stocchi e Rem Koolhaas, in corso alla Fondazione Carriero fino al prossimo 24 giugno. Grazie al lavoro dei due curatori, “Between the Lines” offre un punto di vista nuovo sulla pratica dell'artista statunitense, esplorandone i confini e isolando i momenti fondanti del suo metodo di indagine e dei processi che ne derivano. Attraverso un nutrito corpus di opere che ripercorrono l'intero arco della sua carriera – dai celeberrimi Wall Drawings alle sculture come Complex Form e Hanging Structures, fino alla serie fotografica Autobiography 1980 –, e partendo dalla peculiarità degli spazi della Fondazione, il progetto espositivo esplora la relazione del lavoro di LeWitt con l'architettura.

Rifacendosi proprio a questo aspetto fondamentale della mostra la Fondazione Carriero ha pensato di coinvolgere tutti i visitatori chiedendo di raccontare e condividere su Instagram la loro esperienza di fronte alle opere di LeWitt e agli spazi di Casa Parravicini. Una giuria composta dai membri della Fondazione avrà poi il compito di selezionare la fotografia più rappresentativa tra quelle taggate con l’hashtag #FondazioneCarrieroTakeAPicture: l'autore verrà premiato con un viaggio in Massachusetts per visitare il MASS MoCA, il museo che ospita la più grande retrospettiva di Wall Drawings di Sol LeWitt, in mostra fino al 2033. La stessa giuria selezionerà inoltre altri 10 scatti che verranno stampati in formato cartolina e distribuiti come omaggio ai visitatori della mostra “Sol LeWitt. Between the Lines” fino al 24 giugno 2018.

La partecipazione all'iniziativa è gratuita e aperta a tutti i visitatori della mostra: è sufficiente avere un account pubblico su Instagram e condividere una o più foto con l'hashtag #FondazioneCarrieroTakeAPicture entro il 31 marzo 2018. Saranno considerate valide solamente le foto che ritraggono le opere in mostra o gli spazi della Fondazione, nel rispetto delle opere.

From 1 to 31 March 2018 Fondazione Carriero launches the digital project #FondazioneCarrieroTakeAPicture on Instagram, with which all visitors to the exhibition “Sol LeWitt. Between the Lines” are encouraged to express their personal perspectives on the works by the father of conceptual art and the spaces of Casa Parravicini, the headquarters of the Foundation, using a special hashtag.

#FondazioneCarrieroTakeAPicture is a digital participation project and a tribute to Sol LeWitt ten years after his death, seen through the eyes of those who come into contact with his work at the exhibition “Between the Lines”, curated by Francesco Stocchi and Rem Koolhaas, in progress at Fondazione Carriero until 24 June. Thanks to the work of the two curators, “Between the Lines” offers a new viewpoint on the practice of the American artist, exploring its boundaries and isolating seminal moments of his method of investigation and its resulting processes. Through a wide selection of works covering the entire span of his career – from the famous Wall Drawings to the sculptures like the Complex Forms and Hanging Structures, all the way to the photography series Autobiography 1980 – and exploiting the particular character of the spaces of the Foundation, the exhibition explores the relationship between LeWitt’s work and architecture.

In relation to this fundamental aspect of the exhibition, Fondazione Carriero has decided to involve all visitors by asking them to narrate and share their experience of the works by LeWitt installed in the spaces of Casa Parravicini on Instagram. A jury composed of members of the Foundation will then have the task of selecting the most representative photograph from those tagged with the hashtag #FondazioneCarrieroTakeAPicture: the photographer will be awarded a trip to Massachusetts to visit the MASS MoCA, the museum that hosts the largest retrospective of Wall Drawings by Sol LeWitt, on view until 2033. The jury will also select 10 other images that will be printed in postcard format and distributed on a complimentary basis to the visitors at the exhibition “Sol LeWitt. Between the Lines” until 24 June 2018.

Participation in the contest is free of charge and open to all visitors to the show: all that is required is to have a public Instagram account, and to share one or more photographs with the hashtag #FondazioneCarrieroTakeAPicture until 31 March 2018. The only images eligible for the prize are those that show the works in the exhibition or the spaces of the Foundation, without in any way causing them harm.
