Ricostruzione
Italo Zuffi presenta Ricostruzione, performance del 2011, di cui propone una nuova versione realizzata appositamente per BUILDING. Il lavoro si compone di una parte installativa e di una in forma di azione dal vivo.
In mostra sono presenti altre due opere: Volume consapevole, scultura in ceramica del 2012, esposta nello stesso anno a New York e città di cui il lavoro stesso fornisce, al contempo, l’itinerario seguito e interstizi di significato nel passaggio della traduzione della frase sopra impressa, e Eau de Cologne Italienne, 2015, che raccoglie, in forma di didascalie, una serie di opere di artisti italiani sul tema del periodo colonialista e imperialista italiano.
Italo Zuffi: cenni biografici
Italo Zuffi (Imola, 1969) vive e lavora a Milano. Utilizza soprattutto scultura, performance e scrittura. Insegna all’Accademia di Belle Arti di L’Aquila e alla Libera Università di Bolzano. Dal 2011 è Guest Lecturer in Performance alla Royal Academy of Art dell’Aja. Tra le mostre personali recenti: In forma di riepilogo, Cler, Milano (2019); postura, posa, differita, ar/ge kunst, Bolzano (2016); Potersi dire, MAN, Nuoro (2015); Quello che eri, e quello che sei, Nomas Foundation, Roma (2015).

Reconstruction
Italo Zuffi presents Reconstruction, performance from 2011, of which he proposes a new version, specifically created for BUILDING. The work consists of an installation part and a second part in form of live action.
On display there are two other artworks: Conscious Volume, a ceramic sculpture of 2012, exhibited in the same year in New York and city of which the work itself provides, at the same time, the itinerary followed and interstices of meaning in the passage of the translation of the sentence impressed; and Eau de Cologne Italienne, 2015, which collects, in the form of captions, a series of works by Italian artists on the theme of the Italian colonial and imperialist period.
Italo Zuffi: biographical notes
Italo Zuffi (Imola, 1969) lives and works in Milan. He manily uses sculpture, performance and writing. He teaches at L’Aquila Academy of Fine Arts and at Libera Univeristà of Bolzano. Since 2011 he is Guest Lecturer in Performance at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague.
